Great photo. Clearly the kids are saying, enough with the photos, where is the turkey!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Sue. One of the things I am grateful for is you and your willingness to share all these wonderful glances into your life. Thank you so much for all the enjoyment you give. No matter how mundane the task may be, you manage to make it a yarn worth telling and worth reading about. I don’t know how you do it. It doesn’t matter how, just know you are appreciated. Keep on keeping on.

I have just read your entire blog. I have really enjoyed your story and will keep reading regularly now. My husband and I can’t quite part with the homestead, and since we have always worked for small companies we do not have pensions to help us financially to make full timing a reality for us. We just purchased a used Class C and will be weekend camping in 2012. Hubby is retiring and will take care of the homestead during the week so I will be able to take off on Friday night and not worry about getting the weekend chores done. We live in New Mexico and all the posts you have made have been great as we will be going to many of those places. Have a wonderful journey. Thanks for sharing.

We don’t have pensions either Maribeth, that is why Chuck and I workamp! We workamp this summer near Zion National park, 20 hours weekly pays for our FHU and anything over 20 hours is $8.50 per hour. Check out !

Welcome to my blog, Maribeth! My hat’s off to you . . . You read the entire blog? Now that’s perseverance!

I faced a choice: Live in my house and go nowhere, or sell the house, buy a trailer, and go wherever! It was an easy choice for me.

      • We have thought long and hard about it. We just can not sell our house. It is not the “things” we have a problem leaving behind. We are both concerned that should one or both become ill we would not want to be in an RV during that time. Our house is paid for, so I could arrange for a caretaker until we ever needed it in the future, but the prospect of me not having any health insurance for 10 more years scares us a bit, plus the reduction in my income would be so substantial it is hard. We are going to weekend camp all next year March-September and we will be better equipped to make a decision. I will start my blog on a regular basis next March, but may post some holiday stuff before then it is

Maribeth, I quickly looked at your blog and it looks very interesting and well put together. I love the little hiker symbol and the pictures of your hike. Would love to see more of this and will have to figure out how I can do this. I would love to follow your blog but did not see any place to “join”.

Blessings be with you always! You are lucky to be able to enjoy your life so much!
Cheers and well wishes from a wanna-be camper.
