Camping in the snow!

Saturday morning, December 3rd:

View from our bedroom window at Percha Dam State Park in southwestern New Mexico

Bridget, Spike and I step out into a snowy campground.

Where’d this stuff come from?””

Our little electric heater worked all night long to keep us warm.

.

Bridget clings to the PTV so her paws don’t touch the icy snow.

The snow is mixed with ice and crunches under my feet.

I quickly snap some photos. The crew won’t want to stay outside long.

Look what we would’ve missed if I’d rushed us out of New Mexico!

A snow-covered fence makes a pretty scene.

I let the crew wander around.  They won’t go far this morning.

“Spikey! Get moving or you’ll freeze that way!”

The sky is cloudless.  The snow will be gone soon.

A view of the sunrise from our campsite’s shelter

Enough sight-seeing!  Let’s get in where it’s warm!

“How about some breakfast?”

The percolator’s perking and the weather lady’s predicting another cold front!
