That’s what I like a free campground on OUR land. When I was a kid back in the 40’s I don’t remember paying money to go camping. Big places like Yellowstone yes. Sadly the government has turned into a greedy octopus with tentacles everywhere scooping in our money to pay for things that should come from taxes. I think our Federal Income Tax is a crime against the people because after the war the government was supposed to have abolished this tax. But did they? Nope and who’s the dope, as usual it’s us. Oh, Joe, wouldn’t it be wonderful if all the campgrounds were FREE! Sawtooth Canyon Campground won’t be free for long. I heard the only reason it’s free now is because the bureaucracy held up the approval for BLM to charge. That may be nonsense, but I do notice each shelter has the clip underneath the campsite number which is usually for the fee stub. Boo-hoo.
